I was a little bit off my game today, and took a less than perfect trade which I ended up closing too early out of fear.
Not normally something that effects me much these days, but I still have some moments!
(Also, expect to see a lot of scalps instead of positional plays thru to the end of the year as I’m focusing on building up the account balances in my scalping accounts to close out the year!)
Let’s take a look at the trade:

Trade Breakdown:
Short after price rejected the underside of the PD VAL, and retested below the current session POC.
Added in another contract on the way down, bearish momentum was nice especially for the time of day (just after 6pm re-open).
Closed the trade off too early only halfway to target. No logical reason for this, just didn’t like the trade anymore…
Price ended up running to target and beyond, should have held at least one contract.
Commentary: Good entry and trade thesis, however, as mentioned I wasn’t mentally on my game today. I exited far too early. Should have been an easy hold all the way to target. A win is still a win, days like this happen!
Thursday Levels:
NASDAQ:
The levels I’m looking at going into Thursday are:
Value Area High: 21,215.50
Point of Control: 21,165.50
Value Area Low: 21,111.00
Also, apologies about yesterday’s cancelled live session - my internet has been playing up and is not streaming smoothly at all. Getting someone to look at it this week and should hopefully be back up and running ready for next week.
Just New Zealand shenanigans :’)
Catch you again tomorrow.
Cheers
