Caught a really nice short today during the overnight session, shorting from the current day POC down towards the weekly VAH.
Let’s take a look at the trade:

Trade Breakdown:
Current session volume profile showed that value was shifting down, with POC moving about 20pts to the downside — we also had a massive gap to the downside, with low volume areas which typically act as “vacuums” which supported my thesis of going short.
Got short at/under current day POC, adding a second contract on the second retest.
Targeting just above the weekly VAH at 21,265.75 as my take profit target (expecting a bounce at this level, which it did!)
Commentary: Fantastic short, textbook use of current day profile and using the nearest (previous weekly) level as a target. This is where it pays not to be greedy and “expect” support to break, as price rallied up about 73 points after it tapped the weekly level.
Tuesday Levels:
NASDAQ:
The levels I’m looking at going into Tuesday are:
Value Area High: 21,221.75
Point of Control: 21,198.25
Value Area Low: 21,162.50
Note that today’s VAH is overlapping with the weekly POC.
Great start to the week! Let’s keep it rolling.
Again I will be streaming an hour for the overnight session this evening, so catch me there!
Have a great weekend.
Cheers
