Two winners and one loser today, for a total of +60 ticks. Now that my account balance is nice and healthy in my funded scalping account I’m going to be making use of leaving a runner on wherever possible to catch larger moves.
Today my runner got stopped out at break even, but still caught some good movement!

Executions + Trade Reason:
Trade 1 (Scalping Account):
Trade Breakdown:
Short one tick in front of Value Area High
Nice quick move down, secured one contract profit at +11 ticks, stop moved one tick into profit on remaining contract to try and capture a bigger move — stopped out at.
Commentary: Good trade. Clean, quick, and textbook. No luck with the runner though. Total take of +12 ticks.
Trade 2 and 3 (Intraday Swing Account):
Trade Breakdown:
Long, retesting value area high from the upside. Tonnes of buying above Value Area High so got long as well with 3 cons, added another 3 when we dipped further below.
Perfect trade, price pumped really nicely - took 3 contracts profit at 2,659.4 for a healthy profit. Moved stop one tick above break even to let the remaining 3 contracts ride. Again, no luck. Stopped out at B/E with the remainder of the position.
Next trade, we broke below Value Area High. Not much buying happening this time, more sellers present. Got short on the retest from the underside — initially got a nice drop but it was short lived, price pumped back up and stopped me out on 1 contract. No way to anticipate this one, just one of those trades!
Commentary: Both trades were good, very happy with the first long entry. Perfect reaction to the upside. Second trade also looked good, all the signs were there for a short but didn’t play out. Can’t win em all!
Total take on all contracts after both of these trades: +48 ticks
Wednesday Levels:
The levels I’m looking at going into Wednesday are:
Value Area High: 2,690.3
Point of Control: 2,686.2
Value Area Low: 2,681.3
We’re also trading right neat the previous week POC, so be mindful of lots of chop/noise if we trade up towards it again into Wednesday’s open.
That’s it for today boys and girls! I might not make the stream today as I’m on the road to pick up my niece for the school holidays, so if I don’t make it back on time to see you on stream for Wednesday’s session, see you Thursday!
I should be able to get some trades in later today closer to the London Open.
Cheers
